Poem: New Year Resolution

New Years Resolutions, time to plan for twelve months.
Cow, pig, chicken, dog, red meat bleeding on my plate.
Fetching newest model prison phone, my ex, love!
A bag, me, void, will soon be perky of quarters,
Consume, consume, consumer. Please, what do I need?
Giants, Eagles, Vikings, fight in coliseum,
An arena shaped like a square, change the channel.
Evoke my strength to carry the weights in the room,
Membership contract, no legal ways to turn back.
History, time, today, are all fraternal twins.
Let go of the current, grab onto the future,
I’ve been planning for twelve hours, yet, all the same.
